The cellar is a very intimate cathedral, to be experienced in rarefied underground atmospheres. It is almost invisible from the outside: one can only just catch glimpses of stone walls, built in compliance with local tradition, and a single long glass wall along one side overlooking Siena and Montalcino. Everything is underground, where the delicate balances of temperature and humidity are respected, without interrupting the delicate line of the horizon. In this way the landscape is respected and, most importantly, it is possible to guarantee excellent quality production.  The underground position makes it possible to work using gravity, avoiding the use of pumps or mechanical procedures which could jeopardise the quality of the grapes. In the same way, the temperature is maintained naturally, without using artificial HVAC systems.
